Sew&Sow Creativity offers affordable, flexible courses for people who want to develop their creativity at their own pace.

Hien is a professional artist with a Level 6 Special Needs Assistant (SNA) qualification from GTI Galway. She also holds a Level 8 degree in Fine Art and Textile Design and a Level 9 Master of Arts in Art in Creative Research, both awarded by ATU Galway. Her background includes extensive experience in art, fashion, and child engagement.

Her motivation to start her own studio grew from her work as a fashion tutor for children. During that time, she taught them to operate sewing machines, sew garments, and create crafts in workshops. This experience taught her invaluable lessons: working with children is challenging but deeply rewarding. She learned the importance of staying present, with her main priority being to support them and foster a welcoming environment.

Her goal for Sew&Sow Creativity is to create a nurturing environment where people can gain a lifelong skill that builds creativity and confidence. The journey of learning to sew is a meaningful pursuit for both children and adults eager to explore new techniques and ideas. 

In recent decades, concerns about fast fashion and overconsumption have increased public awareness of these issues. As a result, many young people and adults are eager to learn how to modify and recycle their clothing and other items.

Sew&Sow Creativity has identified a gap in the market where craft and sustainability intersect, offering a fresh perspective on how to be fashionable while also supporting the well-being and future of our planet.
